暗黑2中的冠军级 怪物是普通怪物的超级加强版. 这些怪物随机出现在游戏中, 且几乎所有普通怪物都有对应的冠军级形态. 冠军怪物更强壮, 更危险, 通常死亡后也会掉落更多的药剂. 在冠军级怪物出生时, 系统会在针对不同的变量进行取值. 所以可能同时出现5个狂战士的, 或者一个也没有.
冠军级怪物在血条上显示蓝色的名字, 而非通常的白色.
Varieties(变量)
冠军级怪物有几种不同的类型. 在暗黑2发布之初, 只有普通怪物, 但是不久便加入了四种类型的冠军级怪物: Ghostly, Fanatic, Berserker and Possessed.
所有冠军级怪物在生命值, 等级和死亡后玩家获得的经验上均有加成.

有趣的是, 随着难度的提高, 生命值加成是降低的. 最可能的原因是, 在噩梦和地狱等高难度游戏中怪物本身的生命值已经被极大的提升了. 即使冠军级怪物的生命再提高, 也不过是让玩家更难杀死他们, 而非增加对玩家的威胁, 只会让杀死他们变得更无趣和冗长.
Champion(冠军级)

- 攻击准确率 +75%

这些加成从本质上使怪物有极大提升.

Possesssed monsters have an insane amount of life added to them. Combined with their immunity to curses, Amplify Damage and the likes cannot increase the rate at which they lose life. Despite their massive life bonus, it is essentially their only bonus, so of the player can handle normal monsters of this kind, Possesses versions pose no trouble. They just take longer to kill.
